Personality:

Belldandy is incredibly patient and kind. She believes in the very best of everyone and will do whatever it takes to help anyone. She enjoys taking care of others and will happily do what it takes to make others happy. She's the embodiment of purity and kindness. It's extremely hard to anger her and even when she's angered, Belldandy is quick to forgive almost anything done to her. When she is angry, the weather changes drastically including storms, wind and lightning.

She is deeply in love with Keiichi Morisato, the young man who's wish allowed her to live on earth. Even without him there, she will believe that their connection is unbreakable even by dimensions and remain positive.

Backstory:

Belldandy is a first class goddess with unlimited power. All her life she has done her best to be the best goddess she possibly could which at times may have made others a little jealous of her. Working as a top agent in the Goddess Help Line, it was Belldandy's job to grant the wishes of poor mortals on earth. Keiichi Morisato, a poor college student accidently calls the Goddess Help Line and when Belldandy appears from his mirror, he believes it's all a joke played on him by his seniors in the motor club. So, jokingly, he wishes for her to stay by his side forever. His wish is granted and now Belldandy is stuck with Keiichi forever. Should anyone try to separate them, Yadrassil, the holy computer from which all Goddesses gain their power and the universe is run by, will do what it takes to bring them together again and maintain the wish. Over time, she falls in love with him, and Keiichi beings to feel the same.

Different movies and series offer different consequences but always include the introduction of her older sister Urd and younger sister Skuld.

Abilities:

Transportation Abilities

~Belldandy can teleport from one mirror to another. Distance between the mirrors and obstacles between them doesn't change this ability, as neither does the size of the mirrors.
~She is also able to teleport within a room, from one side to the other.
~Belldandy may also pass through glass but can not use it in the same way that she uses mirrors.
~Belldandy has been shown to float, fly and jump great distances with ease as well as balance on very small things.
~She can use a broom for flying at great speeds.

Defensive Abilities

~Belldandy is able to cast a variety of shields, whether this around just one person, around a group, or when casting a barrier over a building. Shields are round and light green in color and are semi-transparent. Barriers look like criss-crossing white and blue lines over the ceiling of the building or room it's cast on.
~Using a charm from her earring, Belldandy can temporarily pin and capture lower magical beings.

Offensive Abilities

~Lightning and wind are some of the elements that Belldandy uses in combat or when punishing someone. She seldom uses magic to attack.

Collaborative and Support Abilities

~Belldandy is able to heal those who are sick or injured, as well as read their pulse, blood pressure and temperature with just one touch.
~She can borrow power from lower magical beings.
~By pressing her forehead to someone, she can read their short term memories.
~She can exorcize evil spirits from people, but it takes 3 days to do so.

Misc. Abilities

~She can understand and talk to not just animals but inanimate objects as well.
~Belldandy has the ability of telekinesis, and while this could be used in attacking, it's more often used in defense or during domestic chores. She's able to lift and move people as well.
~Belldandy is able to see a person's emotions in the form of swirling colors. Red is anger, yellow joy, orange is anxiousness or excitement, blue is sadness.
~She can change her clothes as she likes with her powers without the need to first purchase them or get naked.
~Belldandy can sense and track people by their pulse from a distance.
~Through the combined singing of her and Holy Bell, Belldandy can sing and fix an area or an object that is broken or encourage distressed plants to regrow.
~She can also replay the recent events that have happened in a place on something that is reflective that was present when the event happened.
~Special Misc. Ability: Belldandy can pray to the spirits of things, natural, man made, inanimate or otherwise to gain its favor. She's been shown to gain computer passwords this way, move leaves, and even summon rain. Some of the other misc. abilities are done in pretty much this fashion, asking for the cooperation of that which she's interacting with.

Common skills: Belldandy has a fantastic singing voice, excels in domestic tasks such as housekeeping and sewing and basket weaving, and is a fantastic cook.

Writing Sample:

[ The fountain's ink ripples, and instead of emerging from the lower pool, a light appears from one of the falling streams. It emerges from the ink, a form of a woman following it. In the air now floats a fully formed woman still coated in thick inky black. All at once, the ink falls to the ground leaving behind what can only be described as a goddess. She opens her brilliant blue eyes to see the city still on fire. ]

Oh my!

[ Not sure where she was, how she got there, or where Keiichi was, Belldandy has to do something. With a deep breath, she closes her eyes and begins to sing. Clouds gather and a soft rain begins to fall on the city. With the rain steady and the fire beginning to calm, she levitates her communicator to her hand. ]
